$15,000 for Haiti Campaign

• On Tuesday, January 12, 2010 an earthquake measuring 7.3 on the richter scale struck close to Port-au-Prince

• “People are without water; children are without food and without shelter," officials said. "What we will see with the lack of water is the possibility of diarrheal diseases and, of course, that can kill children in a matter of hours if not tended to appropriately.”

• The country's infrastructure has been devastated, the scope of the calamity enormous. The government personnel that would normally lead these types of responses, they themselves have been affected.

• Relief agencies are focusing on food, shelter, medical care and communications

GET UP! STAND UP! TAKE ACTION FOR HAITI!

Students can have a direct impact in improving the situation in Haiti by supporting the YFS $15,000 for Haiti Campaign and the crucial being done to help the people of Haiti.

The York Federation of Students will match every dollar that is raised for the $15,000 for Haiti Campaign!
